TopStat is a privacy-first web analytics service. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website and service, and how we handle it.
When the TopStat script runs on your websites, we collect only aggregated, non-identifying data: page URLs, referrers, country (from IP, then discarded), device/browser type, and custom events you define. We do not use cookies, we do not fingerprint visitors, and we do not collect personal information about your visitors. Returning visitors are counted using a daily-rotating hash that cannot be linked back to an individual the next day.
Analytics data is retained according to your plan (3 months on Free, 3 years on Pro, 5 years on Business). You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support.
Because TopStat uses no cookies and collects no personal data by default, websites using TopStat typically do not require a cookie consent banner for our script. You remain the data controller for your sites' analytics; we act as processor.
Questions or requests (access, correction, deletion): contact us via the support email listed in the Terms of Service.
